Papa Floyd’s Doughnuts Possible Brand Identity
As a design student, one of the projects I was asked to participate in was group oriented and community centered. Small groups were paired with a local business and/or mentor that had a product idea with no current brand identity. I was paired with a new up and coming doughnut shop owned by Forest Grove residents. Each member in the groups produced a brand brief to present to the client. My project made it to the top two for Papa Floyd’s, but ultimately wasn’t chosen.
The logo hints to the unique history of the brand — the owners grandfather used to drive his ford truck 45 minutes each day to get doughnuts for his wife, that was until his son created a shop for the family.
